These are the guys who do the great pedal demos and have some of the best prices out there on just about any mainstream or boutique pedal you can think of. If you haven’t been to their site yet, do yourself a favor and check them out. And the best news is that they’ve opened a brand new retail space this week in the Pearl district in downtown Portland!

PGS started out as a mail order pedal company working out of a small warehouse in an industrial park outside of Portland. I remember the first time I went there, there wasn’t even a showroom, just pedals and amps piled everywhere. Then they moved into another warehouse that had a small showroom, but they were still mainly a mail order business. Oftentimes you would drop by and not be able to demo anything because they would be shooting videos!
Well that problem is now solved with the new shop. And what a shop it is! These guys carry the best of the best; 65 and Divided by 13 amps, a great selection of Fender Custom Shop guitars, but it’s really about the pedals. All the cool pedals that we all lust over are there, and they have great online demos of most of them so you can virtually try before you buy. This will soon be one of those stores like Emerald City Guitars in Seattle that everyone has to stop at when they’re in town. With great contests like the “Black Strat/White Falcon Giveaway” and “Free Pedal Fridays” it really pays to check their site often. Have a look and let us know what you think!
