About Us

Hey everyone, welcome to the all new blog about playing music…live. We are Ray and Paul and we’ll be your hosts. This blog is dedicated to all those musicians out there, like us, who live for the gig. We’ll try to cover all the different aspects of playing music in a live environment, from the gear we use, to tips on booking gigs, how to use technology in a live setting, wardrobe (and avoiding wardrobe malfunctions), travel, fans, social media, and just about anything else we (or you) can think of that relates to playing music live.

We welcome your suggestions and feedback so we encourage you to leave feedback in the comments or email us any old time you feel like it…but we are musicians so seriously don’t expect an immediate reply (just setting expectations here).

We really hope that this blog will become a valuable tool for all the musicians out there that love the gigs as much as we do.

- Ray & Paul

oh…and we almost forgot…if you’d like to check out our band and see what we’re up to you can friend us on Facebook at CrossWire Fans …..(dang it Paul, I told you not to let me forget to say that…now look what you’ve done!)

  1. The music scene in Spokane Wa. is really growing, great musicians, great clubs, Check out The Cary Fly Band via Itunes.

  2. You guys covering NAMM? One of my clients, Jon Mulvey, will be looking for people to talk to. He’s Joe Santraini’s protege, former member of Mingus and solo artist in his own right. I can give you his cell if you think you’d like to meet him. And I’d be happy to MP3 you his new CD.

  3. Paul,

A mutual friend of ours, Alistair C., said I should get in touch with you.
I’m developing a line of custom guitars, and I was wondering if you’d want to review them on your site??
Please check out my website (kozmguitars.com) for details.
Let me know if you have any questions, etc.

    I’d really appreciate your help,
